Thrift Thursday and Fashion Friday: The 70's sewing book
picture this in different colors.. and with toggles not ties
The pompom to end all pompommery
where can I get the fabric?
I can never pass up a sewing book at the thrift store.. The 70's were quite a time for the crafty fashion set. Shall we quilt ourselves up a coat? Or make an Icelandic style cap?
Oh, do the quilt coat, do the quilt coat! I can only imagine, knowing your eye for fabrics, what a diving piece of clothing you'd make from that pattern.
What is it with the seventies coming back to haunt me? OK, I have to say I love the pictures you've shown here. Maybe it's time to embrace my childhood era. I love the hat in this last photo. The coat is cool too, but the coat in the first one is even better.

When I was shopping for food last night and picked up my baguettes, I wish I was wearing that jacket.
Those are awesome pictures! I have a few sewing books from earlier decades just for that reason - to look at the pics!
