The Swap Plan!

Okay:

How about this: Everyone make 4-6 fat quarters of printed ( or fancy dyed) fabric and you will get 4-6 sent back to you. What you send in, you will get back.

International swappers are fine. We are going to do this ATC swap style: everyone send the fabric to me and I will collate and redistribute. So if it is coming from overseas... It would be great if you sent early, if at all possible. Aim for having it to me by the last week of July, then I will send it back out the first week of August, if humanly possible.

I think if everyone sends in fabric and some nominal postage money (just match what it cost you to send it to me please)..
Then, we should be good.

So far we have 10 swappers. And quite a talented group!!
Anyone else? (Sonya? Stef?)

I will leave the sign up open until Tuesday. After that I will gather everyone's info, and we can go get printing.

Now I better get loading the car and putting on my Craft show lipstick.

This is where I will be today:

Yeah! So excited! Maybe we could have a flickr group where we could display what we give and what we get - and maybe what we make with what we get!!

  6. That is one hot bathing beauty! I love these early pictures of swimmers, so racy.

What methods will people use to print on the fat quarters? I think this is way out of my depth, but I think it's a very cool swap.

  11. I'm tempted to join, but not sure I'm fit for the group! I would love to make some plain white fabrics with in calligraphy on there in permanent ink. Would that count? Maybe I'm too much on the fringes of what's pretty!! Cool swap though.

I found you from Mimi K's blog. May I join the swap? I'm good at dyeing, and painting, and I could do some GREAT experiments with printing...

i think a fat quarter is about
    18" x 22" - it's a quarter of a yard and half the selvage?

Craft Show Lipstick? Is it that the white kind that turns the "special" color of choice once put on? Usually bright fuchsia, but who's noticing??? ME! AS you always share the most luscious lips...Red??? xxxoooo Have fun!!!

  16. I wouldn't know a fat quarter if I fell over it!
    It's a quilting thing, right?
A far too energetic undertaking for me.
But I do enjoy your blog, so I'm sure I will read some sparkling, witty posts about your swappings of fat quarters!

  18. Love, love the idea of this, but I don't know if I could print a fat quarter. I adore fabric, though, and would love to do it.

Is it anything goes? Does it have to be "pretty", or could it be wild and graphic??

If it is anything goes, sign me up.

Okay, it's 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon and the last thing I should be doing is signing up for a swap that involves more fabric, but I can't help myself.

Sigh. Count me in. It sounds too good to pass up. ;)
