Yup, must be da holidays.
Not yet December and I am already behind.

the thrift store gang

All these guys have been gathered over the last few weeks. The tall german gentleman is a "smoker", you put an incense cone inside him and smoke comes out of his mouth.
Fun stuff! A toy and a bad example all rolled into one.

Sorry for this mini post:
I am cleaning up, so I can drag a poor innocent tree from it's home on the farm into a house that isn't too hairy to decorate. It would take a village to get this place clean.. but no joy.. It's only me... and this guy:

milo in the tulle

who isn't helping.

  1. He's too cute to help. He's more of a motivational device.

"Finish and then pet me," he says, with his eyes.

  2. I have baby fabric with ducks smoking pipes -- also, good stuff.

P.S. Your photos need to be less than 400 pixels to fit the Blogger template. You can change the size in the post html. I usually guess the vertical size until it looks right. This is the lazy person's way to do this. The other way would be in Photoshop.

  5. What do you mean? Milo lounging and looking incredibly cute and soft like velveteen doesn't help? And that smoker is just too much!

    That cat! Beautiful.

As for me... tomorrow, I am going to venture down the icy hill I'm living on to be the "young person" at the hanging of the greens. The church needs decorating, and my job is to "do"... not decorate. I've been chanting to myself all week, "I do NOT have an opinion. I do NOT have an opinion." I never thought I'd be the "brawn" of an operation, but apparently, I am. :D

And I'm digging the vintage Christmas. I'm afraid I'm scoring zilch in that department out here in the middle of nowhere. :D

  7. Ah, so that is what a smoker is! I saw those in a catalog and had no idea what the "smoker" part meant other than that the figure had a pipe.

  10. I love the smoker and feel bad because I may have seen these and not known what they were for! I love incense...not fruity sicky blends, but really nice resin blends. I love it when my books smell like a new age bookstore!
