Hiya Kittens,
Thought you might want to see some applied piping in practice. Here's that awesome vintage zodiac fabric sewn into a revised Amy Butler Cabo Halter.
What's new on this halter other than that piping hot corded trim?
Viola! I lengthened the straps by 6 inches and crossed them in back. Buttons and button holes and it is so much more comfy. I tire of a knot rubbing the back of my neck. Sassy, No?
I just love piping. Don't you?
Sassy YES! Quel! Your portraits are just the best! At once impressive sewing and great witty theme. Plus the cuteness of the Betty.

ReplyDeleteHi Betty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute top! Well done :)
We spoke a few months ago about a leaf-dress I made and being new to the blogging thing back then, I commented on your comment on my own blog. Not the brightest idea maybe... I just wanted to say sorry and thank you for your compliment on the leaf dress (http://mybusycraftlife.blogspot.com/2010/02/ode-to-leaf-dress-creation-of-lifetime.html). The Mombi dress has now been completed, check out the blog if you're interested in the final result. I now also know how to reply to posts so next time i'll do it properly! ;)
In the meantime, happy blogging and greetings from London!
MJ
Hot damn - I love that saucy back! When are you going to start getting paid by someone for being their stylist?
ReplyDeleteHaha, brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHair is one of my favourite musicals! It recently came to London and I've seen it three times. Could you do a little routine as well? hehe
