Thrift Thursday: The Recycled Redecorating Project

Ummm.. I guess I really don't do before pictures.

But here is an after pic that you all might like a little:

Trust me, it looks better now.

The living room corner with repainted baby changing dresser ala Ikea, now dvd storage.
Topped with 2 vintage typewriters; thrift store purchases, Brownie camera on laquered trays: thrifted and thrifted. Artwork from a display props sale, thrifted lamp and shade, thrifted lawnchair and suitcase.

Nothing cost more than 15 dollars. Not too shabby.

Oh I LOVE the typewriter! I've been wanting to get one and am sorry my mum got rid of her Olivetti years ago...
I do have a bracelet that's made with old typewriter keys (featured on my blog a couple of months ago)

I'm always tempted by the old typewriters I see in antique stores & thrift shops but never quite know how I'd make it work. This has pretty much convinced me I can do it.

I think it looks great, too! You just can't beat decorating with thrifty finds!

Looks fab! Funny thing about before shots. I get a wild hair and start painting or moving stuff around and then wish I had taken a pic before I started.

It have been a long time since I have seen a writing machine. I remember when there were in my old high school. Right now it is an antique.
