Tree your Mind.. The Rest will Follow

It is Tree Huntin' time.

This is the first year we teamed up with my sister and her family to hit the tree farm.
This farm is our family's traditional tree spot.
There is a 3 mile drive in on a one lane road.. navigated by SUV's who only visit once a year.( eek.) After you pull into the drive you will be greeted by kid standing next to a bon fire, who will hand you an enormous saw..( Demonstrated by my brother in law.. ahem.)

Next you drive to the grove of your choosing and look at all the trees. Big and Little:

After you have selected and severed your yule tide treasure, many families bring sugar laden hot cocoa and candy refreshment, to celebrate the kill.

Then home to watch the PeeWee's Playhouse Christmas Special on VHS...untangle those lights.. get out that electric train.. and have soup... and more cocoa.

Because this is the gossamer sugar coated beauty that childhood memories are made of.

You are definitely putting me in the mood! I need a tree for home and for the store. But I haven't figured out where to get them yet. I want to find a place like you go to. A local place that's always there, every year. I have to ask around.

I'm ready for the trees!

Damn spammers. Looks like you had fun. I love that picture of Jake. Yes, please, to dinner, but I have a class from 3ish to 5ish. Can we come after that?

I love it! Nothing like making memories with the ones you love. Great pictures of the family, too.

Oh my GOD, the Pee Wee xmas special is the BEST!!!! What is UP with KD Lang and her insanely hyperactive performance??? Too many candy canes in the green room before the show perhaps! LOL! And anything with Charo AND Little Richard HAS to be good! :)

I want a real tree this year, i really do...but my hub votes me down every time. Sigh....i can just smell it if i imagine hard enough! :)

How do you change the size of your monitor?

By the way, I love that too!  How did you find that?

See you soon! Girly Girl
