Two Across the Finish Line

I have a lot in progress but I got a couple finished!

On the back it reads:
"life's expectation is life itself." Goethe

Made from scraps of saved lace... and rescued baubles.

I need to finish about 80 more projects in the next few days.... I have a special request for a t shirt and I want to make my mom something for her 60th birthday which is coming right up.. I need to finish my "small alter" for a swap by next Wednesday because Thursday I have a huge, all-nighter setup at work.. The next day, I will drive 4 hours to my mom's house and get my son ( yes, the boy is out of town with grandma and grandpa for two weeks, otherwise I would not be even considering such an ambitious "to-do" list) and celebrate her (my mom's) birthday with all of her friends... And because we are child free we are trying to crowd in as much grown-up fun as we can.

I can't guarantee my personal condition for my mom's birthday (given the sleepless night just prior) so I would like to arrive with a completed gift at least.

Gentlemen, start your engines.. the race against time is on....

Good luck. Hope you make it out the other side in one piece. :)

The top necklace is beautiful. I love the quote, too.

Hello! I have been following your progress since we took our class at the "Castle" -- I sat across from you and my opinion is that I learned as much from you as from our wonderful teacher! I have sources and information about the microscope slides and the Fiskars scallop scissors if you need help with either of those. I've been making jewelery from broken china and practicing my soldering -- I burnt up one soldering iron -- somehow I thought it was like a glue gun that could just be left turned on for hours!! oops! my email is marglon@att.net if you want info

I love the stuff you're producing at the moment especially the first necklace in the post. It's my birthday in November I'll drop BIG hits to the family for a necklace, one of your decoupaged boxes... now what else was there!
